Customizing your Bot

Xelagot allows you to personalize your bot to look and talk however you want it to. Let's explore some of the option available to you.

Personalizing:
We should first go to the Preferences Menu. From the menu bar, go to World, then click Preferences.

You will get a menu like to the right:

Avatar Choose a number starting from 0 to change your avatar. Note that 0 is the default avatar of the world. The number 9 represents the 10th avatar in your world's list (you can see what kind of avatars are available by clicking Avatar in the menu bar of the CTCUni browser)

Press the DO button to implement the change.

Gesture Sequence This sequence of numbers makes your bot do a combinations of motions
2 6 will make your bot perform gesture #2 for 6 seconds continuously
2 6, 0 will make your bot perform gesture #2 for 6 seconds, then stop
2 6, 5 1, 3 5, 0 will make your bot perform gesture #2 for 6 sec, then gesture #5 for one sec, gesture #3 for 5 sec and finally stop.

You can do any combination and press the DO button to implement your change. Play around and get the right combination for your bot.
Say or Whisper Hi and Bye This part is pretty self-explanatory. Just note that this can get really annoying to the people inside your world to hear a greeting every time someone enters so try to avoid this option unless you are insistent on welcoming people to your home.
Announce Text This option allows you to customize what your bot should say to people who enter your world. This is a lot better than the above option because instead of shouting a greeting so everyone can hear, this message only addresses the individual who enters. Notice that by putting in {p}, the bot will also say the person's name. Also note that you can set the coordinates to determine a certain area around the bot where he would say the greeting. Below is a sample greeting.

IMPORTANT: Be sure to press the APPLY button to save your changes

Announce Console Message This does the same as above except it creates a console greeting instead like below. Notice that you also have to press the APPLY button to save your changes.
