Welcome to the CTCUni Xelagot Help Pages.

From here, you will learn how to use the Xelagot program to do unique and powerful things with the ActiveWorld program. This site is going to be a simple step-by-step process to help you understand how to use the Xelagot program.

Before we begin, I am going to give a really short introduction into bots and Xelagot. Bots are basically programs that run within ActiveWorld that make it a little more interesting. They often appear as avatars and can talk, play games, keep track of information or give tours. The special trait that distinguishes a bot is that it has square brackets ("[]") around its name. This will appear if a bot talks or a user right-clicks on the bot's avatar shape.

Xelagot is a program that creates bots for the user. It is very easy to use and also very powerful. It may appear intimidating at first but hopefully, with this introduction, the transition will be easier to make.

Here is a list of the topics that will be covered:

  • INSTALLATION AND LOGIN (basically how to get the program going)

  • THE INTERFACE (what the program looks like and where the functions are)

  • COMMUNICATION (how to make your bots do stuff)

  • CUSTOMIZE (customize your bot to your own tastes)

  • DEEJAY (a fun and musical thing you can do for your bot)

  • TRIVIABOT (something else that's fun you can do)

  • SURVEY MANAGER (probably the most important tool in Xelagot. Warning: for advanced users only)
